What are these “worm-with-a-shell” bugs in my house?
I thought it was a piece of woodbark until I saw it move. It looks like there’s a little worm living inside of the shell. The shells are less than 1cm long and are beige/brown/gray in color. The shell is shaped like a football with narrow ends and a wider middle. There are two small openings on either end and it looks like there’s a little worm inside. The head sticks out of one end and pulls the shell up to move around. Does anyone know what I’m talking about???
It sounds like the larvae stage of some bug. It could probably be any number of things and it is hard to guess without knowing more about them and where you are. Could they be flea larvae? They sound about the right size.
